CHENNAI, INDIA · COMMUNITY WELLBEING
SHE works to make sexual and reproductive health education, dignity and opportunity more accessible to women, children and young people in underserved communities.
01 ABOUT SHE
Sexual Health Educators (SHE) is a nonprofit working to empower socially disadvantaged and vulnerable communities by addressing poverty, gender-based discrimination and barriers to wellbeing.
Its work centres on sexual and reproductive health education and the wider social development of underserved people, with particular attention to women, youth and children.
OUR VISION
We believe access to quality sexual and reproductive health is a fundamental human right and an important part of gender equality and poverty reduction.
SHE's vision includes the people too often left out of the conversation: marginalised women and young people, widows, older adults, tribal communities, minorities and people with disabilities.
Physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing—not simply the absence of disease.
